2012 Meet the Makers: Wearables

Get a sneak preview of Pittsburgh Mini Maker Faire by category each day until the big day, Sept. 22nd! Today’s featured category is Wearables.

The Wearables area of the Faire includes lots of make-and-wear opportunities for you to transform in true Maker Faire style for the rest of the day. These coupled with the open sewing machines humming all day in the MAKESHOP™ will give you ample opportunity to create a wearable for YOU to strut down the 30-foot runway during the Wearables Fashion Show at 2 p.m.! Hosted by comedian Gab Bonesso, it will feature the wearable sculptures of three incredible teen design teams + an open call to walk the catwalk in things YOU’VE made! Anyone who wants to join the show should meet at the Theater at 1:30 to enter the fashion show lineup. Tell your friends!
